A workshop designed to teach artists how to sell their creations is scheduled at Southeast Missouri State University Oct. 31.

"The Artist in Business" workshop will be conducted by Libby Platus, an artist, sculptor and graduate of UCLA. She has traveled throughout the United States and Europe for the past 10 years leading seminars on the business of art.

Marketing, promotion, planning, pricing, contracts, budgets, taxes, regulations, copyrights and sales presentations will be covered.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Party Room at the University Center. For more information or registration, contact the Small Business Development Center on campus at 290-5965. Registration fee is $25.

The workshop is sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts and the department of art at the university.
