EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- A.J. Summerlott, 82, of East Prairie died Friday, April 23, 2004, at East Prairie Nursing Center. He was born Nov. 9, 1921, at Fisk, Mo., son of Clemet Edward and Velva McCain Summerlott. He and Bealus Mae Bain were married Dec. 11, 1947, at East Prairie...EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- A.J. He was born Nov. 9, 1921, at Fisk, Mo., son of Clemet Edward and Velva McCain Summerlott. He and Bealus Mae Bain were married Dec. 11, 1947, at East Prairie.
Summerlott was a retired farmer.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Danny and Eddy Summerlott of East Prairie; a daughter, Linda Jackson of East Prairie; three brothers, Jack Summerlott of Sikeston, Mo., Gary Summerlott of Fort Wayne, Ind., Bill Summerlott of Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Elsie Walters of Portageville, Mo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, a great-granddaughter, and five sisters.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with George White officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
