ANNA, Ill. -- Albert Lee Bohannon, 84, of Anna died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at the Illinois Veterans Care Center in Anna. He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Benton, Ky., son of Roy Lee and Vera Butler Bohannon. He married Geneva Mowell on Jan. 23, 1937, in Royalton, Ill...

ANNA, Ill. -- Albert Lee Bohannon, 84, of Anna died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at the Illinois Veterans Care Center in Anna.

He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Benton, Ky., son of Roy Lee and Vera Butler Bohannon. He married Geneva Mowell on Jan. 23, 1937, in Royalton, Ill.

He was a member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene and operated Mowell's Grocery in Anna for more than 40 years.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Judy Birckbichler of Smyrna, Tenn.; two brothers, the Rev. William Bohannon of East Alton and Paul Bohannon of Anna; a sister, Esther Grimm of East Liverpool, Ohio; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ralph Lee and John Ruzich officiating.

Burial will be at the Anna City Cemetery.
