JACKSON -- Albert Eugene Petty, 75, of Houston, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1993, at Texas Medical Center in Houston.

He was born Dec. 22, 1917, at Kennett, son of William H. and Helen M. Griffin Petty. He and Roberta Anderson, formerly of Jackson, were married Oct. 13, 1940.

Petty was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was a retired letter carrier, and attended Berachah Church in Houston. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a recruiter in maritime service.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy Petty of Houston; a daughter, Robin Baumgartner of Dallas, Texas; a brother, William Petty of Aurora, Colo., and a grandson.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

McCombs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
