Allen Mitchell Abernathy, 66, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Zalma, Missouri, son of Marvin and Haley Slaughter Abernathy. Allen served in the U.S. Navy. Loving survivors include a son, Nicholas Abernathy of Jackson; two daughters, Angie (Billy) Piercey of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Haley (Robert Topps) Abernathy of Scott City; two granddaughters, Madalyn and Karen Piercey of Chambersburg; and two former wives, Brenda Abernathy of Chambersburg and Sarah Abernathy of Chaffee, Missouri.. ...

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Interment with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
