ALLIE HAMPTON

CHAFFEE -- Allie Francis Hampton, 81, Chaffee Route 2, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 24, 1915, at Perkins, daughter of Otto and Amelia Gibbs Jennings. She and James E. Hampton were married July 14, 1950. He died June 13, 1979.

Hampton was a member of the General Baptist Church at Chaffee, and former member of Harmony Chapel Order of Eastern Star in St. Louis.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Johnson of Scott City, Kenneth Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ramona Estep of Chaffee; a brother, Albert Jennings of Lancaster, Texas; a sister, Vivian Turner of Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
