JACKSON -- Funeral for Alma B. Grebe of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Wayne Schwiesow will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Grebe, 95, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 13, 1903, in Gordonville, daughter of Albert and Bertha Lange Schwab. She married Albert Grebe July 21, 1928. He preceded her in death June 24, 1986.
Grebe worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1923 to 1928 and worked on the family farm with her husband many years. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
The Grebes moved to Jackson in 1967.
Survivors include a son, Milton Grebe of Jackson; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
