KARNAK, Ill. -- Funeral for Alvia Dunn of Karnak will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. The Rev. Ken Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress, Ill. Dunn, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.

He was born Nov. 22, 1915, in Cypress, son of Adolphus and Sarah Jones Dunn. He married Dolly Carter.
Dunn was retired from Main Brothers Box and Lumber Co.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carolyn Elliott of Ullin, Ill., Lisa Scott of Metropolis; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, two brothers, and four sisters.
