BLOOMFIELD -- Alvin I. Finn, 76, Bloomfield Route 1, died Monday, June 27, 1994, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Sept. 25, 1917, in Advance, son of Vader and Mayme Holland Finn. He and Virginia Haynie were married July 27, 1940, at Kennett.

Finn was an aircraft mechanic, retiring from North American Rockwell Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of Bloomfield VFW Post 7750.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a Bronze Star in the Central European Campaign, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Finn of Ellsinore, Ron Finn of Marble Hill, John Finn of DeSoto; a daughter, Jeanne Handley of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; a sister, Eileen Bristow of Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bill Sargent and Earl Reinhart officiating. Burial will be in New Hope-McGee Cemetery at McGee.
