Amanda Jean "Jeannie" Walker Glasscock, 68, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center. Amanda was born Oct. 29, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of Fred E. and E. Joyce Sollars Walker Sr. She was united in marriage to Harold L. Glasscock Sr. on Sept. 2, 1971, and he preceded her in death...

Amanda Jean "Jeannie" Walker Glasscock, 68, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Amanda was born Oct. 29, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the daughter of Fred E. and E. Joyce Sollars Walker Sr. She was united in marriage to Harold L. Glasscock Sr. on Sept. 2, 1971, and he preceded her in death.

Amanda worked as a bookkeeper for the tax clinic in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Cape First Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cora Hall and Harold Glasscock Jr., both of Cape Girardeau; two brothers Tom Walker of Poplar Bluff and Fred Walker of Springfield, Missouri; four sisters, Janice Walker of Poplar Bluff; Shelia Trucks of St. Charles, Missouri; Sharon Walker of Scottsdale, Arizona; and Deana Rhoton of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Elsie S. Hall, Joseph M. Hall and Malissa J. Hall; and one great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Jean Trapp.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Joyce; her husband, Harold; and brother, Randall Walker.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.

Arrangements were under the care of Liley Cremation Services in Cape Girardeau.
