Andrew Shain

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Andrew Gene Shain, 37, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

He was born Dec. 19, 1981, in Anniston, Alabama, to Nancy S. Shain and Eastman G. Foster.

Andrew was a 2000 graduate of Poplar Bluff (Missouri) High School and attend Three Rivers Community College.

He was senior systems engineer for Community Brands in St. Petersburg, an officer in St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge No. 139 F. & A.M., and a U.S. Army Reserve sergeant.

He loved piloting single-engine airplanes, all things computer related, reading, video games and cats.

Survivors include his daughter, Trinity Shain of Fort Myers, Florida; mother, Nancy Shain of Cape Girardeau; grandfather, M. Gene Shain of Fisk, Missouri; wife, Megan Shain of St. Petersburg; sister, Kendra Foster Mitchell of Atlanta; two aunts, Jane Shain of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Peggy Kitchen of Cape Girardeau; and six cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eastman Foster of Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held on a date not yet determined at Shain Memorial Cemetery in Ash Hill, Missouri.
