DEXTER, Mo. -- Arthur "Sonny" Jenkins, 65, of Dexter died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Dexter. Jenkins was born Aug. 3, 1934, at Poplar Bluff. He was owner and operator of Sonny's Place in Dexter. DEXTER, Mo. -- Arthur "Sonny" Jenkins, 65, of Dexter died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Dexter.

Jenkins was born Aug. 3, 1934, at Poplar Bluff.

He was owner and operator of Sonny's Place in Dexter. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.

Survivors include a son, Jim "J.J." Jenkins of Dexter; a brother, Bob Jenkins of Dexter; a sister, Doris Robinson of Dexter; and a grandson.

Friends may call at Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Fred Leist of Dexter officiating. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery.
