DEXTER -- Ather Pruett, 81, of Dexter died Dec. 26, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
The daughter of the late John Wesley and Nettie Kelso Henson, she was born March 31, 1911, at Bloomfield.
She was of the Baptist faith, and had spent most of her life in the Dexter and Bloomfield communities. She resided in Dexter at the time of her death.
She married Elvis Pruett on April 2, 1930, He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1985. Survivors include two sons, James and Delbert Pruett, both of Dexter; and one grandson, Gregory S. Pruett, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Ill.
Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield after 6 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Cook of Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
