ATWOOD HEAD

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Atwood Head of Anna will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Revs. Floyd Stout and Verlee Eaker will officiate. Burial will be in Meisenheimer Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.

Head, 82, died Monday, March 15, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born June 17, 1916, in Dongola, son of Ado and Ivah Douglas Head. He and Helen Lingle were married April 5, 1953.

Head was a retired carpenter. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, member of Carpenters Local 630, and was on the board of Meisenheimer Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Whitehead of Anna; and a grandson.
