PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- August H.J. "Bud" Allers, 87, of Perryville and formerly of Jackson passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Henry T. and Amanda Frank Allers. He married Evelyn E. Wachter on Nov. 29, 1969, at Shawneetown. She preceded him in death July 23, 2006...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- August H.J. "Bud" Allers, 87, of Perryville and formerly of Jackson passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Henry T. and Amanda Frank Allers. He married Evelyn E. Wachter on Nov. 29, 1969, at Shawneetown. She preceded him in death July 23, 2006.

August was baptized and confirmed at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. August worked for Shawneetown Feed and Seed for many years. He enjoyed raising cattle and crop farming with his brother, Charles.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Pauline Allers of Altenburg, Missouri; a niece, Anna (fiance Timmy Cook) Cook of Altenburg; a nephew, Paul Allers of Altenburg; and two great-nieces, Kristie (Robert) Hoxey and Shania Cook, both of Altenburg.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Allers.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Allers family.
