Barbara Jeanne Juden, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 26, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 24, 1925, in San Francisco, Calif., daughter of Roy Thomas and Alta Nadine Underwood. She and Kenneth Neher were married in 1947 in Santa Cruz, Calif. He preceded her in death. She and Dr. A.G. Juden were married March 8, 1955, in Jackson. He also preceded her in death.

Juden was a registered nurse at Santa Clara County Hospital in Santa Clara, Calif., moving to Cape Girardeau in 1955. She worked at St. Francis Medical Center, worked in home health care and gave insurance physicals for many years.

Survivors include two stepsons, Terry Juden of Cape Girardeau, Michael Juden of Nashville, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Sally Gaffigan of Seattle, Wash., and Charlotte Shearer of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

There is no local visitation or service. The body will be taken to California.
