MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Beatrice C. James, 84, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Zalma, Mo., daughter of Jim and Rosa Moore Hill. She and Ernie James were married June 15, 1946. He died March 18, 1975.
Beatrice was a seamstress at the former hat factory in Marble Hill. She was a member of VFW Post 5900 Ladies Auxiliary, New Sylvan General Baptist Church and a former secretary for Lutesville General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert James of Marble Hill, Richard James of Perryville, Mo.; two daughters, Joan C. Seibert of Perkins, Ga.; Louella E. Bollinger of Marble Hill; a brother, Marvin Hill of Marble Hill; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
