Bennie Floyd Edwards, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

He was born Feb. 23, 1935, at Chaffee, son of William Edgar and Mary M. Humphrey Edwards. He and Sandra K. Tollison were married Aug. 14, 1962, in Edwardsville, Ill.

Edwards had been a truck driver with Borden's and North American Van Lines, worked at Och's Nursery, and most recently was self-employed in lawn care and landscaping. He had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1965.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bennie Edwards of Jackson, Terry Edwards of St. Louis; two daughters, Peggy Vails of Jacksonville, Fla., Bridget Kiefer of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Ronnie and Dean Edwards of Cape Girardeau, Leon Edwards of California; four sisters, Lorene McCoy of Dexter, Alice Geiser of St. Louis, Mildred Bullen of Red Bud, Ala., Wanda Taylor of Puxico; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-7 p.m. today and 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. Thomas Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
