EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Bennie Van Goodman of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Aubrey Wilson will officiate, with burial in Anniston Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. today.

Goodman, 91, died Monday, March 27, 1995, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 29, 1903, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of James William and Nora Chase Swan. She and William Henry Goodman were married July 1, 1924. He died April 24, 1988.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include five nieces, Amy Pratt, Venus Hyde and Mary Gross of Paragould, Nora Duncan of Van Buren, Dorothy Swan of Wisconsin, and a nephew, Guy Swan of California.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
