PERRYVILLE -- Funeral mass for Bernard L. Clifton of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Grodecki will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30-9:45 a.m. today.

Clifton, 76, died Tuesday, June 23, 1992, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Perry County, son of Leonidas and Flora Schindler Clifton. He and Wilhelmina Unterreiner were married April 20, 1940.

Clifton was a retired farmer and livestock dealer, and member of St. Vincent's Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bernard and Russell Clifton of Perryville; four daughters, Helen Cissell and Barbara Ernst of Perryville, Catherine Brockmann of St. Louis, Julie Clifton of Jefferson City; two brothers, Frederick Clifton of Crosstown, James Clifton of Menfro; two sisters, Rita Vessell of St. Louis, Marie (last name unknown) of Steelville; 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons and two granddaughters.
