Mildred Bernice Pierce, 95, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Esther, Mo., to Tom and Fannie Owen Hardy. She and James Francis Pierce were married Nov. 30, 1934, in Ironton, Mo. He died March 21, 1974.

Pierce was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City.

Survivors include a son, Tim (Ilene) Pierce of Olive Branch, Ill.; a grandson, Mike (Kim) Pierce of Villa Ridge, Ill.; a granddaughter, Melissa Burns of Olive Branch; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, three sisters and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may be sent to Lutheran Home Hospice or the Lutheran Home Activity Fund.
