Bessie R. Bozarth, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at The Lutheran Home. She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Cape Girardeau County to Maple and Rose Nabe Foeste. She and Mahlon H. Bessie R. Bozarth, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at The Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Cape Girardeau County to Maple and Rose Nabe Foeste. She and Mahlon H. "Lefty" Bozarth were married in 1946 at Reno, Nevada. They were married 37 years until his passing in 1983.

Both Bessie and Lefty worked for many years at the Superior Electric plant in Cape Girardeau until it closed.

Bessie had a strong faith in God and was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Bessie lived life every day full of energy, walking twice a day and going dancing three times a week. Her specialty was running errands for her friends.

She loved her family and special friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Dorothy R. Foeste of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Audrey (Larry) Borgfield of Jackson; two nephews, Mike (Jane) Foeste and Steve (Debbie) Foeste, both of Cape Girardeau; two great-nieces, Sandy (John) Schnicker of Jackson and Paige (fiance Spencer Goodman) Foeste of Cape Girardeau; three great-nephews, Brad (Tosha) Borgfield of Jackson and Chris (girlfriend Lauren Knobie) Foeste and Robert Foeste, both of Cape Girardeau; two great-great-nieces, Samantha Schnicker and Ava Borgfield, both of Jackson; and two great-great-nephews, Grant Borgfield and Grady Borgfield, both of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Maple Foeste; mother, Rose Nabe Foeste; husband, Mahlon H. "Lefty" Bozarth; mother-in-law, Viola Bozarth; two brothers, Claude and Elmer Foeste; sister-in-law, Ruby Hengst Foeste; nephew, Jerome Foeste; and dear friend, Ed Ringwald.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 100 N. Frederick St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
