SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Bettralean "Betty" Kirk of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Flem E. Bronner Sr. will officiate, with burial in Smith West End Cemetery.
Friends may call at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
Kirk, 84, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1909, in Merigold, Miss., daughter of Charlie and Rebbeca Richardson.
Kirk was a member of St. John Church, president of the Mother Board, and treasurer of the choir.
Survivors include two sons, Soloman Stewart of Foxworth, Miss., Johnny Stewart of Greensboro, N.C.; three daughters, Quvellar Knox of Detroit, Mich., Viola Kirkwood of Milwaukee, Wis., Pearline Marshall of Sikeston; a sister, Edna Lovelady of Elkhart, Ind.; 39 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
