MCCLURE, Ill. -- Betty Fisher, 71, of McClure died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at the home of a daughter in McClure.

She was born Oct. 13,. 1928, in Dixon, Ill., daughter of George and Elizabeth Prebe Smith. She and Ira F. Fisher were married Oct. 1, 1949. He died Nov. 4, 1989.

Fisher was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mounds, Ill.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Prater of McClure, Donna Browning of Olive Branch, Ill.; two brothers, Ronald Smith of Dixon, Junior Smith of Rochelle, Ill.; two sisters, Jean Wiltfang of Dixon, Shirley Dietrich of LaSalle-Peru, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Herbert Smith and Ernest Browning officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Olive Branch.
