Betty Lee Hency, 65, of Cape Girardeau has left her earthly home and gone to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, Oct. 25, 2010.
She was born Nov. 27, 1944, in St. Louis, to Raymond and Loretta Schoenfelt Harris. She and Ralph Stewart Hency were married Oct. 28, 1962.
Betty was a certified nurse aide at the Lutheran Home 17 years. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Loving survivors include her husband, Ralph Stewart Hency of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Keith Hency of Cape Girardeau, Kelly (Lisa) Hency of Marshall, Texas, Brett (Dawn) Hency of Farmington, Mo.; two daughters, Erica Hency of Union City, Tenn., Dianna (Charles) Kohler of Delta; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her father and stepmother, Raymond and Reva Harris of Benton, Mo.; three sisters, Delores (Robert) Koch of Cape Girardeau, Jeanne Baker and Linda Hyde of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a son.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
