ADVANCE, Mo. -- Betty Lou Spane Boner, 82, of Advance passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, at her home.
She was born May 23, 1936, at Lilbourn, Missouri, the daughter of Walter T. and Zelda M. Hamilton Palmer. Betty and Kenneth Spane were united in marriage Jan. 28, 1955, in Bernie, Missouri, and he preceded her in death May 14, 2013. She later married Thomas Boner on May 24, 2015, at Bernie, and he survives of the home.
Betty was the owner and operator of Betty Spane's Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Advance for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bernie. She served on the church district council for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Boner; a daughter, Terri Sunger of Savannah, Georgia; three stepdaughters, Rebecca Searby of Kingsport, Tennessee, Judith Fralick of Dexter, Missouri, and Jennifer Albertson of Puxico, Missouri; two brothers, Norman Palmer of Franklin, Indiana, and Preston Palmer of Dexter; three sisters, Faye Miller of Malden, Missouri, Neoma Gibson of Shoals, Indiana, and Leona Downs of Franklin; two sisters-in-law, Billie Heitt of Advance and Louella Lee of Troy, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; her husband; a son, Edwin Lee Spane; two sisters, Ethel Cecil and Vesta Hardin; and three brothers, Jim, Charles and Nelson Palmer.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
