ANNA, Ill. -- Betty Ann Mowery, 66, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born May 29, 1929, in Jonesboro, daughter of Guy and Hulda Reischauer Bowen. She and Harold "Jake" Mowery were married Jan. 20, 1951, in Piggott, Ark...

ANNA, Ill. -- Betty Ann Mowery, 66, of Anna, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born May 29, 1929, in Jonesboro, daughter of Guy and Hulda Reischauer Bowen. She and Harold "Jake" Mowery were married Jan. 20, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Mowery was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and had served on the church council.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara Sadler of Jonesboro; a brother, William Bowen of Lick Creek; three sisters, Dorothy Kohler and Louise Dillow of Anna, Francis Lentz of Bradley, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 4 p.m. today, and after 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Church.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Salem Church, with Pastor Dennis Cooley officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
