PLANO, Texas -- Betty June Price, 91, of Plano died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Texas Health Resources Hospital in Plano. She moved to Texas to be close to her children in 2013, after living in Cape Girardeau since 1957.
She was born Nov. 21, 1929, in White Oak, Missouri, to William L. and Hallie L. Hall Taylor. She and A.D. Price were married July 31, 1952, at Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Oct. 7, 2000.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed for her caring concern for others, especially her family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those that loved her so much. She was a longtime member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, Chris (Lorri) Price, and a daughter, Tammy (Bruce) Weir, both of Carrollton, Texas; five grandchildren, Morgan (Tyler) Evans, Makenzie Price, Emily (Michael) Hernandez, Kelsey (Ryan) Payne and Brett (Kendall) Weir; great-granddaughter, Emersyn Payne; sister, Connie (Milt) Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, Margaret Owens, Rita Miller, Sharon Anderson, Ginn Thompson and Bee Sutton; brothers, Bud, Billy and Bo Taylor; nephew, Gary M. Arnold; and a great-nephew, Rodney Gary Arnold.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
