BETTY WILLIAMS

MALDEN, Mo. -- Betty Joyce Williams, 56, of Malden died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 12, 1945, in Morehouse, Mo., daughter of Jewell and Fern Lee Williams Bryan. She and Calvin Williams were married Oct. 7, 1977, at Summersville, Mo.

A lifelong resident of Southeast Missouri, she lived in Bernie many years before moving to Malden in 1996.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Penny Williams and Joyce Williams of Malden; two stepdaughters, Mary Williams of Hobart, Okla., Susie Head of Lone Wolf, Okla.; two brothers, Howard Bryan of Mobile, Ala., James Bryan of St. Louis; three sisters, Janie Rogers of Matthews, Mo., Lorama McCulley of Sikeston, Mo., and Vickie Sinden of Camdenton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
