Bill F. Asbridge, 77, of Scott City died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 3, 1925, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of William and Beatrice Blackwell Asbridge. He and Pauline G. Miller were married Feb. 11, 1982, in Collins-ville, Ill.
Asbridge was a maintenance engineer with General Equipment Co. in St. Louis. He moved to Scott City in 1989 from Collinsville. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Feerrar of Mechanicsville, Md.; two daughters, Susan Schoenbauer of Mechanicsville, Deborah Russell of Collinsville; a brother, Paul Asbridge of Chaffee, Mo.; two sisters, Betty June Reed of Dutchtown, Joan Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and at First Baptist Church in Scott City after 1 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
