DEXTER, Mo. -- Funeral for Bill Aslin of Dexter was held Wednesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Calvin Buhler officiated. Burial was in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo.

Aslin, 80, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born June 16, 1922, near Dexter, son of Dave and Minnie Harper Aslin. He and Mildred Launius were married May 27, 1944, at Bloomfield.

Aslin was a former line worker at Ozark Dairy.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Tinker of Grover City, Calif.; a brother, Rube Aslin of state of Washington; three sisters, Leah Wilson of state of Washington, Marion Moody of Sikeston, Mo., Marjorie Hopkins of Alton, Ill.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.
