PATTON -- William F. "Bill" Barrett, 47, of Jerseyville, Ill., died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born Sept. 16, 1951, in Alton, Ill., son of Fred Francis and Mary Ann Nolan Barrett. He and Jeannell Hanners were married April 24, 1976, at Patton.

Barrett was a heating and air conditioning service technician with Sackmann Gas Co. in Jerseyville.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brian Barrett of the home; two sisters, Sally Pohlman of Brussels, Linda Barrett of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Homer Barrett of Jerseyville; his stepmother, Nellie Barrett of Jerseyville; two stepsisters, Cindy Hardy of Decatur, Ill., Cathy Suhling of Springfield, Ill.; five stepbrothers, William Eads of Texas, Dale Eads of South Dakota, Phillip Eads of Jerseyville, John and Jim Eads of Collinsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville from 4-9 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Julie Sherrock will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Jerseyville.
