Bill Pratt, son of the late William H. Pratt and Jessie E. Zoph, was born on April 4, 1950, in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 71 years.

On May 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Lutes in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. Pratt survives of the home in Scott City.

Bill was the owner and operator of Midwest Truck Sales and Service Inc. in Scott City, attended the Cape La Croix Church and was a resident of Scott City.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, William (LaDonna) "Ron" Pratt of Scott City; two grandchildren, Lauren (Talon) Casebolt and Ethan Pratt; one great-grandson, Wesson Casebolt; fur children of Bill's, Gunnar and Dolly; fur great's, Meeko and Minnie; and multiple family members by blood and by choice.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mack Pratt, and by one sister, Pat Bailey.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will then be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with services performed by LaCroix Church. Interment will follow in the Lightner Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made St. Jude's Children Hospital or the Humane Society. Envelopes will be provided at funeral home.
