Bill C. Richardson, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Greensboro, N.C., to Lawrence Bedford and Mildred Robbins Richardson.

He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina in 1952 and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha.

He and June Dale were married March 15, 1958, in Memphis, Tenn.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force.

He worked for State Farm as an insurance claims representative before retiring after 28 years.

He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, June Richardson of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Lisa (Ken) Frayser of Benton, Ky., and Cara Richardson of Memphis; grandchild, Whitney Quick of Cape Girardeau; nieces, Nancy Richardson of Union, S.C., and Brenda LaVette of Canoga Park, Calif.; nephew, Lawrence Bedford Richardson III of St. George, Utah; brother-in-law, James (Barbara) Dale and children; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Bedford Richardson Sr.; mother, Mildred Robbins Richardson; and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday school class.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church, 1289 Lexington Ave., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
