BERTRAND -- Isadora G. "Billie" Harper, 80, of Bertrand died Monday, April 13, 1998, at her home.
She was born Oct. 22, 1917, at Wyatt, daughter of Charles W. and Lura Tucker Gregory. She and Ulus Harper were married Dec. 28, 1968, in Cairo, Ill. He died Oct. 26, 1991.
Harper was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Payne of East Prairie, Percy Payne of Florissant; three daughters, Mary Holman of Saudi Arabia, Judy Holifield of Fayetteville, N.C., Sharon Couples of Tonasket, Wash.; a stepson, Donald Harper of Sikeston; six stepdaughters, Virginia Learue and Anita McKinnie of Sikeston, Betty Holland, Joan Bacchus, Janet Hatley and Geraldine White, all of Bertrand; a sister, Virginia Dixon of Washington, Ill.; nine grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Cullen officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery at Charleston.
