Billy W. Buck, 69, of Cape Girardeau left his mortal body and went home from where he came on Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Gir¿ardeau.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1937, in Wardell, Mo., the son of the late Churchill and Blanche (Wheeler) Buck. He and Shirley (Osborn) Buck were married on Jan. 15, 1968, in Hillsboro, Mo.

Bill was a loving husband, devoted father and Christian who taught his children about God by example. He helped many people that God sent through his life spending his earlier years in children's and bus ministries. He also had a great bass voice singing on praise and worship teams and also traveling with a local band, the Ambassadors.

At the age of 57 he became a foster dad, considering it a blessing that God trusted him enough to place a small child in his life. Bill lived a full life and was ready to go home.
