SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Billy D. Jeffries of Sikeston will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Tanner Street Church of God. The Rev. Carl Addison will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jeffries, 65, died Monday, July 11, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 15, 1928, at Crowder, son of Leonard W. and Pearl Burns Jeffries. He and Ruth A. Crawford were married Aug. 31, 1961.
Jeffries retired from Noranda Aluminum, and was employed by Aufdenberg Equipment Co. at the time of his death. He was a member of Tanner Street Church, and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Jeffries of the home; a daughter, Cindy Standridge of Sikeston; his mother, Pearl Tadlock of Sikeston; two brothers, Terry and Ben Jeffries of Sikeston; six sisters, Bernita Stone, Joyce Jones, Karen Williams, Marilyn Bramlett and Martha Payne, all of Sikeston, Shirley Stuckey of Union, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
