SIKESTON -- Seth Robert "Bob" Rowe, 88, of Sikeston died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at his home.

He was born Feb. 16, 1911, at Charleston, son of Seth R. and Nita Wharry Rowe. He and Betty Simpson were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Sikeston. She died Nov. 11, 1985.

Rowe worked at ABF Trucking and Byers Transportation in St. Louis. He was a lifetime member of Richwood Methodist Church in McMullin, and member of Teamsters Union.

Survivors include five nieces, Billie Barnes of Sikeston, Carol Simpson of San Francisco, Calif., Emily Wigger of Alton, Ill., Susan Young of Kansas City, Mary McCloud of Newton, Kan.; and a nephew, David Cowan of Neosho.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dr. Jim Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
