ARNOLD, Mo. -- Bonnie Lee Butler, 70, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at her home in Arnold.

She was born May 13, 1940, in Jackson, daughter of Russell and Virginia Crader Conley. She and David Butler were married May 4, 1962, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.

Bonnie graduated from Jackson High School in 1958 and received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1962.

She was a caring and devoted educator, teaching first grade at Seckman Elementary School in Arnold 30 years. She was a member of New McKendree Church.

Loving survivors include her husband of 50 years; two sons, Scott Butler of Patton, Mo., and Russell Butler of Imperial, Mo.; a daughter, Julie Butler of St. Louis; a brother, Richard (Pat) Conley of Jackson; a sister, Linda (Jerry) Jansen of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Reita Conley of Fruitland and Barbara (Dennis) Hurst of Jackson; three grandchildren, Virginia, Ryan and Kristen Butler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mike Conley.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Seckman Elementary School or to the American Cancer Society.
