BENTON, Mo. -- Bruce Allen Hamm, 58, of Benton died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at his home.
He was born Dec. 8, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to William Avery and Dorothy Elizabeth Walter Hamm. He married Mary Anna Schweer on Dec. 12, 2009.
He previously worked for Luhr Brothers and most recently was a delivery driver for Auto Tire and Parts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Schweer; four brothers, Doug Hamm of Chaffee, Missouri, and Jack Hamm, Glen (Nancy) Hamm and Mark (Brenda) Hamm, all of Scott City; mother-in-law, Mary Alice Schweer of Benton; brother-in-law, Melvin Schweer Jr. of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Martha Hamm of Scott City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Melvin "Bud" Schweer; brother, Roger Hamm; and two sisters-in-law, Shelby Hamm and Margaret Hamm.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Casteel and Michael Hamm officiating. Burial will be in St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
