Carol Jean Maynard, 77, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her home in St. Peters, Mo.

She was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Albert William and Fannie Louisa Harris Morrow.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynne C. Stuhr of Charleston, S.C. and formerly of St. Charles, Mo., Kim Trendley of O'Fallon, Mo., and Tana Propst of Cape Girardeau; two sons-in-law, William (Sandy) Stuhr Jr. of Charleston and Michael Trendley of O'Fallon; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James L. Maynard.

Carol was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and graduated from Steimle Business College.

She was an executive secretary for Mallinckrodt Inc. and Monsanto Inc. for more than 30 years. Carol also owned and operated Cafe Lillie in downtown St. Charles. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A private memorial will be held by family.

The family is being served by The Blue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
