Carol Poole

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Carol Poole, 57, of Dongola died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003 at her home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1945, at Elgin, Ill., daughter of George Sr. and Norma Hogrewe Van Meter.

Poole was employed at Knowels Electronics for 29 years. She attended Salem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Barry; a son, Jeff Poole of South Elgin, Ill.; her mother, Norma Van Meter of Peel, Ark.; a brother, George Van Meter Jr. of Elgin and a sister, Patti Mersman of Peel.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Franklyn Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
