ALTENBURG -- Caroline Sonoff, 94, of Altenburg died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born July 18, 1898, at Neunert, Ill., the daughter of John and Sophia Boehme Ehlers. On July 22, 1953, she married Evan Sonoff, who preceded her in death June 18, 1973.

Survivors include a brother, Arthur Ehlers of Perryville, and two grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and four sisters.

She is also survived by step-children and step-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Willard Kassulke will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
