JACKSON -- Carolyn Lynette Wade, 64, of Jackson died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 11, 1934, daughter of Curtis L. and Verline Miller Pettit. She and Eugene M. Wade Sr. were married Feb. 24, 1955. He died July 26, 1996.

Wade was retired from Southeast Hospital. She was a member of St. John's AME Church in Jackson, and Order of Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include four sons, Eugene Wade Jr. of St. Louis, Dwight and Travis Wade of Cape Girardeau, Douglas Wade of Jackson; two daughters, Emma and Theresa Wade of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Robert Pettit of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
