POPLAR BLUFF -- Charlene Frederick, 68, of Dexter died Friday, March 14, 1997, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Frederick was born Oct. 5, 1928, at Nimmons, Ark., daughter of Roland T. and Helen Winniger. She and Herb Frederick were married in August 1945 in Clay County, Ark. He died Nov. 14, 1986.
Frederick was a homemaker and had lived in St. Louis for 20 years before moving to Dexter in 1977.
Survivors include a son, Thomas E. Frederick of Dudley; two daughters, Peggy Bess of Dexter and Betty Reynolds of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five brothers, Donnie L. Baker of Bernie, Wayne Baker and Gary L. Baker, both of Dexter, Jerry Baker of Malden and Von Baker of St. Louis; three sisters, Shirley Miller of Patton, Jo Ann Ray of Cape Girardeau and Barbera J. Watkins of Bernie; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday. The Rev. Danny Stevens will officiate, with burial at the Bernie Cemetery.
