GEORGETOWN, TX. -- Charles Dudley "Chuck" Fields, 50, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at Seton Williamson Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas.
He was born March 27, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, to Bobby R. and Susan Ruopp Fields.
He attended St. Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock
Chuck graduated from McArthur High School in San Antonio in 1989. In 1999, he graduated from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. He worked for several years at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, as a Biomedical Electronics Technician.
He enjoyed playing tennis, bike riding, taking walks and running with his best friend/canine Arya.
Chuck had a good heart and cared about others even throughout all his own health struggles over many years. His courageous battle has come to an end and he is finally at peace and the pain is no more.
Loving survivors include his parents, Bobby and Susan Fields of Georgetown; sister, Heather (Michael) Mayer of Beverly, Massachusetts; nephews, Ethan and Brandon Mayer; aunts and uncles, Wilma Bell, Bill (Bonnie) Fields, Ted (Jean) Fields, Jim (Wanda) Fields, Mike (Joyce) Ruopp, Carol (Jerry) Ruopp Jackson, Pat (Jan) Ruopp, Jane (Jim) Ruopp Burnett, Jack (Janice) Ruopp, Mark (Teresa) Ruopp; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dudley and Imelda Ruopp; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ruth Fields; cousin Roger Fields, uncle J.W. Jelks, uncle Tim Ruopp.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will be at noon Monday at the chapel with Pastor Kevin Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Covenant House, 1111 Lovett Blvd., Houston, TX 77006.
