VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Charles Joseph Keltner, 57, of Villa Ridge died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at the VA Medical Center in Marion, Ill. VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Charles Joseph Keltner, 57, of Villa Ridge died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at the VA Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

He was born July 19, 1945, at New Burnside, Ill., son of Lewis Clayton and Elsie Gertrude Watson Keltner.

Keltner was a truck driver for Rex Wilburn Farms of Pulaski, Ill. He attended Boaz Pentecostal Church.

He served in the U.S. Army with the 506th Engineers during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two daughters, Kellie Keltner of Villa Ridge, Belinda Marshall of Karnak, Ill.; three sons, Preston Keltner of Batesville, Ark., Keith Schrieber of Jerseyville, Ill., Corey Marshall of Karnak; a stepson, Michael Wortham of Burnsville, Miss.; and a stepdaughter, Jeannie Wortham of Heber Springs, Ark.

Also surviving is a brother, Thomas Cramer of Mounds, Ill.; six sisters, Diane Monan of Mound City, Ill., Colleen Colbroth of Mounds, Rita Nicholes of Olmsted, Ill., Maxine Garrison of Nevada, Billie Nicholes of Waverly, Tenn., Velma of Paducah, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Floy Patrick officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mound City, with full military honors by members of Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 of Mounds.
