BENTON, Mo. -- Charles Stevens Woolf, 88, of Benton died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born April 30, 1914, in Tolu, Ky., son of John Thomas and Myra Tom Stevens Woolf. He and Nelma Louise Fuller were married April 14, 1934, in Elizabethtown, Ill. She died April 14, 1982.
Woolf retired from Edwards Fertilizer in Cerro Gordo, Ill., in 1984, and moved to Benton. He was also a retired farmer.
Survivors include three sons, John Woolf of Calvert City, Ky., Robert Woolf of Oran, Mo., Cleve Woolf of Benton; four daughters, Charley Campbell of Evansville, Ind., Mary Ruth Jackson of New Madrid, Mo., Myra Richbourg of Benton, Susan Watson of Springfield, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, and a sister.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Scott Sutton will officiate.
