EAST PRAIRIE -- Charlie M. Williford, 77, of East Prairie, died Saturday, June 13, 1992 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Nov. 15, 1914 in Bath Springs, Tenn., son of James and Addie Pomeroy Williford. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked as the Street and Water Commissioners for the city of East Prairie...EAST PRAIRIE -- Charlie M. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked as the Street and Water Commissioners for the city of East Prairie.

He married Georgia Woods on Oct. 7, 1933 in Hickman, Ky. She survives of East Prairie.
Other survivors are three sons, Paul Williford of St. Louis, Jerry Wayne Williford of Sikeston and Kenny Williford of East Prairie; one daughter, Charlene Marshall of East Prairie; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be today at 2 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with the Rev. Aubrey Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday.
