OLMSTED, Ill. -- Chilton M. Ramsey, 84, of Olmsted, died Monday, July 24, 1995, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

He was born Aug. 7, 1910, in Marion, Ky., son of Shirley and Florence Holman Ramsey.

Ramsey was a retired construction foreman. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Sikeston, Mo., and Laborers Local 773 in Cairo.

Survivors include his wife, Pernecia Ramsey; two sons, Gary Ramsey of Louisville, Ky., Phillip Ramsey of Olmsted; a sister, Virginia Grisham of Olmsted; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bob Mouser and Encil Edmonds officiating. Burial will be in Barlow Cemetery at Barlow, Ky.
